Privacy policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This policy explains how we handle the personal data of people who use the Tu Ropero app (iOS, Android and web) and this website. We are a Spanish company, so we follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data protection law, and we give you the same guarantees wherever you live, including the United States and the United Kingdom.

What data we process
| Account | Name, email and encrypted password, or the Sign in with Apple or Google identifier. |
|---|---|
| Household and profiles | Household name, invited members and the profiles you create (name, gender, date of birth and occupation if you provide them, and an optional avatar). Gender, age and occupation are only used to fine-tune the stylist's suggestions. |
| Clothes | Photos of your clothes and the details you add: type, color, season, location, status, brand, size, notes, purchase date and price, and wear history. |
| Purchases | App Store or Google Play transaction identifiers and the date until which the household has AI included. We never receive or store card details. |
| Location | Only if you allow it and only to look up the weather. We send the server a rounded position (a few hundred meters) to request the forecast; it is not stored with your account. You can pick a city by hand instead of using location. |
| Wear | The outfits you plan and what you mark as worn each day, to show your history and avoid repeats. |
| AI usage | The number of queries and their cost, linked to your account, to manage the plan's limits. |
| Website | The email you leave on the waiting list, your chosen language and the data in the contact form. |
| Technical | IP address and basic device data, for security and to prevent abuse. |
What we use it for
- Providing the service: storing and syncing your wardrobe across devices and household members (legal basis: performance of the contract).
- Automatically suggesting a piece's type, color and season from its photo, and suggesting outfits, purchases and news from your brands (legal basis: performance of the contract).
- Managing purchases (Pro and "One more year of AI") and tax obligations (legal basis: contract and legal obligation).
- Showing you the weather in your area and suggesting what to wear (legal basis: your consent when you allow location, which you can withdraw in your phone's settings).
- Answering your questions and notifying you of the launch if you sign up (legal basis: consent).
- Keeping the service secure (legal basis: legitimate interest).
We don't use your data for advertising or build marketing profiles. We don't sell your data or share it with third parties, and we have never done so.
Photos and artificial intelligence
Background removal happens on your own device. To suggest a piece's details, we send a thumbnail of the already-cropped photo to our AI provider (Anthropic), which processes it as a data processor and does not use it to train its models. For the stylist, the shopping advisor and brand news we send a description of your clothes (type, colors, brand, style), never your contact details. We recommend photographing only the garment, without people.
Data processors
- The hosting provider of the server where the data is stored (European Union).
- The Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway), which only receives the rounded position, with none of your data, to return the weather forecast.
- Anthropic, for AI suggestions. This may involve an international transfer to the USA covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
- Apple and Google, for in-app purchases and sign-in, under their own policies.
How long we keep it
While your account is active. If you delete your account, we erase your data and photos within 30 days at most, except purchase records the law requires us to keep. Waiting-list emails are deleted after the launch notification.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to info@atalcazar.com. You can also delete your account from the app itself (Settings → Account → Delete account) or as explained under deleting your account. If you believe we haven't handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or to your local data protection authority, such as the ICO in the United Kingdom. If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law, you have equivalent rights to know, delete and correct your data, and we never sell or share it for advertising.
Children
Accounts must be created by people aged 14 or over (16 where the law requires it, and 13 or over in the United States in line with COPPA). Children's profiles within a household are managed by the adult account holder, and have no account or access of their own.
Security
Communications are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored encrypted and photos are only accessible to the members of your household.
Changes
If we change this policy in a significant way, we will let you know in the app before the change takes effect.
